Real Madrid faced off against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica earlier this evening as they focused on securing a win on their travels in La Liga. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 14th minute when Arda Guler got his name on the scoresheet. Joselu doubled his team’s advantage in the 30th minute before Alexander Sorloth got a goal back for the home team just nine minutes later. Vazquez scored for Real Madrid in the 40th minute before Guler found the back of the net in the dying embers of the first half. Real Madrid led 4-1 at the half-time break.
Sorloth scored three times in the early stages of the second half which made the scoreline level. The contest ended with Los Blancos being held to an entertaining 4-4 draw away from home.

Militao earned possession back a few times but failed to keep things solid inside his half.

The German was far from convincing on the defensive end of the field.

Valverde worked hard defensively but offered very little in the final third.

RW: Arda Guler – 8.5/10
Guler deserves a lot of credit for scoring two goals for Los Blancos in the first half. However, his efforts were not enough for Real Madrid to win this game.

Modric created a few inviting chances for his teammates up top.

Diaz was a constant threat on the left flank and has got two assists to show for his efforts.
