In a recent report, transfer insider Paul O’Keefe claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. It has been stated that Spurs have identified the English wide player as a target for the upcoming transfer window.
Hudson-Odoi’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a decent campaign at the City Ground as he has put in a handful of impressive displays for Nottingham in the final third. The English talent has participated in 35 matches for his current employers this season, scoring eight goals and earning a couple of assists in all competitions.
The 23-year-old has been a reliable performer in the opposition half based on his average of 1.3 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball from the wide areas after making 85.2% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Nottingham will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, Spurs would have to launch a big offer if they want to land Hudson-Odoi on the cheap later this year.
Will Hudson-Odoi Be A Good Option For Tottenham Hotspur?
Hudson-Odoi has got the quickness to cause some problems for his marker out in the wide areas. He is a good dribbler with the ball and can create a few inviting chances for others around him on the offensive end of the field.
The English sensation generates a lot of power with his shot attempts but needs to find a way to improve his productivity in front of the opponent’s goal. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also play on the right flank or serve as an attacking midfielder down the middle if needed.
Hudson-Odoi would inject more pace and goals into Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu’s attack. He has got some Premier League under his belt and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if Spurs can find a way to get a deal done for him this summer.
At 23, Hudson-Odoi will only get better with each year. Hence, he would be a great, long-term option for Tottenham to pursue later this year.
