Tottenham Hotspur had all the chances to earn a Champions League berth for the next season. However, they slipped up at the wrong time as they have lost four of their last five Premier League clash. The recent most came against Liverpool where they suffered a 4-2 defeat.
Spurs’ next challenge is against Burnley on Saturday night. The former side will host the visitors and will be aiming to get back into winning ways. They are fifth in the points table and would want to keep hold of the Europa League seat.
4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Burnley
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario dealt with a tough game against Liverpool as conceding four never feels good. He will be deployed in goal once again. Right-back Pedro Porro had a disastrous game where he lost possession many times and also failed to stop the threats. However, he is unlikely to be at the receiving end.
Boss Ange Postecoglou has already played down doing experiencements. Hence, expect Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero to form the heart of the defence yet again. Emerson Royal also failed miserably to do the job but might keep the place as the left-back.
Midfield
Spurs are likely to switch back to 4-2-3-1 with Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur as the holding midfielders. It means Pape Matar Sarr will be sent to the bench.
While Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min operate on the flanks, James Maddison walks back into the XI to play in the middle of the attack.
Attack
Brennan Johnson should be making way for Richarlison, who will lead the attacking line. The latter had an impactful performance coming off the bench against the Reds. He netted a goal and also provided an assist. Unfortunately, his contributions went in vain.
Timo Werner (hamstring), Ben Davies (calf), Manor Solomon (knee), Ryan Sessegnon (thigh), Fraser Forster (ankle) and Destiny Udogie (thigh) are the absentees.
