Aston Villa welcomed Liverpool at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a horror start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the second minute when Emiliano Martinez scored an unfortunate own goal. However, Youri Tielemans equalised for the West Midlands club with a good strike in the 12th minute before Cody Gakpo put Liverpool back ahead again in the 23rd minute. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time interval 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Jarell Quansah scored with a solid header in the 48th minute which left the home team with a mountain to climb. However, Jhon Duran scored a quick-fire brace late in the game to rescue a point for his team. The match ended with Aston Villa earning an entertaining 3-3 draw at Villa Park.

Digne worked his socks off at both ends of the pitch.

He managed to score in the 12th minute with a great strike and was replaced in the 64th minute.

Luiz earned possession back twice and was good on the ball.
RW: Leon Bailey – 7/10
He was a constant menace in the final third but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
CAM: John McGinn – 7/10
McGinn put in a tireless shift in the Liverpool half but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
LW: Moussa Diaby – 8/10
He was a real threat at times and ended the game with an assist to his name.

Watkins worked hard in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
