Evanilson has been in terrific form this term. He has netted 24 goals and provided six assists in 41 games this season. He averaging 2.5 shots, 1 key pass, and 0.8 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Brazilian striker is excellent at finishing as well as creating threats in the final third. He has got a great hold of the ball and can dribble and provide goal-scoring passes. It won’t be unfair to say that he is destined to play for a major European club.
Will Chelsea break the bank?
Chelsea brought in Nicolas Jackson with great expectations but the player has miserably failed to meet those. Though he has got a good number this season, he is also the one who has missed the most big chances in Europe in the 2023-24 campaign.
The recent performances of the Senegalese have raised doubts over his qualify within the club. Hence, the Blues are open to signing a new striker in the summer as they want to secure more goals. The pursuit of Evanilson is exactly in that direction.
The 24-year-old has been in red-hot form and can be a good addition. His link-up play is also excellent and there’s no doubt over his finishing skills. However, Portu has reportedly rated the hot property at €100 million.
It will be interesting to see if the Blues will risk investing high in the youngster or not. Apart from them, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the player.
