Manchester City locked horns with Manchester United at Wembley Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result in the FA Cup final. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 30th minute when Alejandro Garnacho found the back of the net. Kobbie Mainoo got his name on the scoresheet as well just nine minutes later as Man City went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Guardiola’s players managed to get a goal back in the 87th minute thanks to Jeremy Doku’s effort. However, the match finished with Man City suffering a poor 2-1 loss at Wembley.

Ortega made a few solid saves at the back but won’t be pleased about conceding twice in the first half.

He caught the eye at times at both ends of the pitch but it was not enough today.

Stones did his fair share of defending but won’t be pleased about conceding two first-half goals.
CB: Nathan Ake – 5.5/10
He was far from convincing defensively in the first half and was replaced at half-time.
LB: Josko Gvardiol – 5.5/10
Gvardiol earned possession back once and made a few decent chances for his teammates. However, he made a costly error at the back.
CM: Rodri – 7/10
The Spaniard anchored the midfield well and made two inviting chances in the Man United half.
CMl: Mateo Kovacic – 5.5/10
He struggled to get a foothold in the game and was substituted at half-time.
RW: Bernardo Silva – 6.5/10
Silva caused a few problems for his marker but failed to register a goal.
CAM: Kevin de Bruyne – 5.5/10
He struggled to impress in the first half and got replaced in the 55th minute.
LW: Phil Foden – 6.5/10
Foden made two good opportunities for his teammates to find the back of the net and ended the game with an assist to his name.
ST: Erling Haaland – 6.5/10
He was a handful for the Man United defenders but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
