Is it over for Liverpool in the Premier League? Well, many would think so as they dropped another three points in an unexpected fixture. They were thrashed by Everton on Wednesday night as the game ended in a 2-0 favour of the hosts.
The Reds are now three points behind Arsenal and arch-rivals Manchester City are bound to go ahead with a games advantage. Jurgen Klopp’s men are going to face West Ham United in an away game this weekend. The best thing they can do is win all of their remaining games.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs West Ham United
Defence
Alisson had a performance to forget in the previous outing and will aim to start hitting his standards again. He is starting the in-goal without any doubt. Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was also on the poor side and needs to step up immediately.
While Virgil van Dijk continues to lead the defensive line, Jarell Quansah or Joe Gomez should be walking into the XI to replace Ibrahima Konate. The latter made a blunder to gift Everton a goal. Andy Robertson is likely to be retained as the left-back.
Midfield
Jurgen Klopp must be tempted to make changes in the midfield after failing to control the game. Expect the return of Wataru Endo into the deeper role, allowing Alexis Mac Allister to move higher on the pitch.
While Dominik Szoboszlai might find himself lucky to not get dropped, Curtis Jones won’t have the same fate. He is likely to make way for either Harvey Elliott or Ryan Gravenberch in the midfield.
Attack
Mohamed Salah hasn’t been in good form recently but nobody would risk benching such a quality player. On the left flank, Luis Diaz has done better than the rest of the wingers, so his position is also secured. However, Darwin Nunez will face stiff competition from Cody Gakpo for the striker role.
Diogo Jota (hip), Conor Bradley (foot), Thiago Alcantara (muscle), Joel Matip (knee) and Ben Doak (knee) are sure absentees.
