Everton entertained Brentford at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Toffees made a decent start to the game but were held to a 0-0 draw at the half-time interval.
Idrissa Gueye finally opened the goal-scoring for the home side at the hour mark as Sean Dyche’s men ended up earning a narrow 1-0 victory in front of their home fans.

Harrison was not shy of having a shot at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

Gueye anchored the midfield relatively well and scored the only goal of the contest in the 60th minute.
CM: James Garner – 7/10
He caught the eye at times in the Brentford half but failed to register a goal.
LM: Dwight McNeil – 7.5/10
McNeil made a few promising chances for others around him but there was no goal for him this evening.

He was a quiet presence in the Brentford half but managed to engineer one good chance up top.
