Chelsea players might still be watching the highlights of their recent game against Manchester United. What a comeback it was for the Blues! Scoring in the 100th and 101st minutes of the game to seal three points, you don’t get to see that so often.
The Blues will next lock horns with Sheffield United this weekend and will be the absolute favourites. They are 10th in the points table with 43 points after 29 rounds of play, meaning they have a negligible chance of qualifying for a European competition.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Sheffield United
Defence
Djordje Petrovic will once again line up between the sticks for Chelsea as Robert Sanchez hasn’t fully recovered yet. The former had a tough night against Manchester United, where he conceded three goals. Malo Gusto has done well in the absence of Reece James and will continue to be the right-back for the team.
The centre-back duo of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile wasn’t solid enough against the Red Devils. Hence, they will look to do well and keep a clean sheet this weekend. Expect no change at the left-back position as Marc Cucurella continues his operations there.
Midfield
Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are the holding midfielders in the pack. The former has already 9 yellow cards to his name and would want to avoid getting a booking.
Conor Gallagher takes the middle position with hat-trick hero Cole Palmer on the right flank. Noni Madueke made an impactful performance after coming off the bench and should be starting this game, replacing Mykhailo Mudryk.
Attack
Nicolas Jackson will be leading the attacking line. He had a mixed display of performance against United and will be desperate to find the back of the net.
Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), Levi Colwill (toe), Christopher Nkunku (thigh), Reece James (thigh), Romeo Lavia (thigh) and Wesley Fofana (knee) are the notable absentees for the Blues.
