Arsenal can only blame themselves for ending this week in second position in the Premier League. They failed to hold the lead as they faced a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa on Sunday. It means they are now two points off the new table-toppers Manchester City.
Things aren’t going to get any better for the Gunners as they next lock horns with Bayern Munich. They will travel abroad to play the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final this midweek. The tie stands at 2-2 and it won’t be easy extracting a victory at the Allianz Arena.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Bayern Munich
Defence
David Raya should be lined up between the sticks despite having a terrible night against Aston Villa. He would like to put it in past and focus on doing better against Bayern Munich. Ben White has been impressive this season and will occupy the right full-back position.
Boss Mikel Arteta wouldn’t prefer making any change in the centre-back duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba. They will have to drop a solid performance if Arsenal want to advance to the next stage. Takehiro Tomiyasu might start at the left-back as he is a more defensive pick than Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior.
Midfield
Kai Havertz dropping to a deeper role didn’t pay off. Hence, Jorginho or Thomas Partey is likely to be deployed in the midfield. It will allow Declan Rice to play higher on the pitch and participate in building attacks.
The English side are sweating over the fitness of Martin Odegaard. The reliable midfielder was forced off due to an unspecified reason. Hopefully, he will be fully fit to start the game.
Attack
Kai Havertz should return to the attacking position in the middle with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli operating on the flanks. Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard are expected to come off the bench in the latter stage to make an impact on the game.
