After registering a memorable victory against Manchester United, Chelsea had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United in their previous game. Their form has been mixed in recent weeks, which they would like to improve for sure.
The Blues will next lock horns with Everton in the Premier League next week. It will be a crucial game for them to build momentum. As after the domestic league fixture, they face ruthless Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final round.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Everton
Defence
Djordje Petrovic had a disastrous performance in his last outing. Though he continues to be lined up between the sticks, he should step up immediately and prepare well to face the Citizens.
Axel Disasi is doubtful for this clash and hence, Malo Gusto should be operating as the right-back. The latter was rested last week due to illness but is likely to be available this week. The centre-back duo of Trevoh Chalobah and Thiago Silva remains intact for this fixture.
Expect no change at the left-back position as Marc Cucurella is likely to be retained there.
Midfield
Enzo Fernandez’s availability is subject to fitness. His position is expected to be filled by Conor Gallagher, who will accompany Moises Caicedo in the midfield.
Cole Palmer suffered a knock in the previous game but should be fine to start as the number 10 behind the striker. While Noni Madueke operates on the right flank, Mykhaylo Mudryk features on the left wing.
Attack
Nicolas Jackson continues as the striker for the Blues. However, he has been a bit sloppy when it comes to finishing. He should be more clinical around the penalty box and help his side score more goals.
Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Levi Colwill and Lesley Ugochukwu are the confirmed absentees. However, Robert Sanchez and Raheem Sterling will be assessed before making a final decision. Ben Chilwell, on the other hand, should return to the squad.
