Manchester City entertained Luton Town at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. Man City made a quick start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the second minute thanks to an unfortunate own goal from Daiki Hashioka. Pep Guardiola‘s men dominated the match and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Mateo Kovacic doubled his team’s lead in the 62nd minute before Erling Haaland put the match to bed when he scored via the penalty spot in the 76th minute. However, Luton got a goal back thanks to Ross Barkley’s finish just five minutes later. Jeremy Doku got his name on the scoresheet in the 87th minute before Josko Gvardiol put the icing on the cake for the Mancunian club when he scored in injury time. The contest finished with Man City securing a dominant 5-1 win in front of their home fans.
