Aston Villa entertained Chelsea at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the fourth minute when Marc Cucurella scored an unfortunate own goal. Morgan Rogers doubled his team’s advantage in the 42nd minute as Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Noni Madueke got a goal back for Chelsea in the 62nd minute before Conor Gallagher equalised for the visitors in the 81st minute. The contest ended with the Villans being held to a 2-2 draw in front of their home fans.
