Burn And Guimaraes Get 8 | Newcastle United Players Rated In Lackluster Draw Vs Everton

Newcastle United entertained Everton at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 15th minute when Alexander Isak found the back of the net. Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin came off the bench and equalised for Everton from the penalty spot in the 88th minute. The contest finished with the Tyneside club being held to a 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Newcastle United player performed during the match against the Toffees.

GK: Martin Dubravka – 6.5/10

LB: Lewis Hall – 7.5/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and was strong in the air.

CM: Sean Longstaff – 6.5/10

Longstaff anchored the midfield relatively well and was not shy of having a strike at goal.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes – 8/10

The Brazilian talent offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and made a handful of clever runs with the ball from midfield.

CM: Elliot Anderson – 7/10

He did his fair share of defending and made one good chance in the opponent’s half.

RW: Jacob Murphy – 6/10

He didn’t hesitate to have a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

ST: Alexander Isak – 7.5/10

Isak was a constant menace in the final third and deserves credit for scoring the opening goal in the 15th minute.

LW: Harvey Barnes – 7/10

He caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

Substitutes:

CM: Joe Willock – 6/10

He added some energy to Howe’s midfield.

CB: Paul Dummett – 5.5/10

He failed to influence the game in a positive way.
