Liverpool welcomed Manchester City at Anfield earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game but got undone by a clever corner routine by the visitors which led to John Stones tapping the ball home from close range in the 23rd minute. The Merseyside club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Alexis Mac Allister equalised for Liverpool from the penalty spot in the 50th minute. The contest ended with Jurgen Klopp‘s men fighting out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Anfield.

He made a few top saves during the game and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

Bradley kept things solid at the back and had a few bright moments in the opponent’s half.

Quansah kept things solid at the back and did well to cope with Erling Haaland’s threat during the game.

The Dutch talent did his fair share of defending and distributed the ball well from the back.

Gomez kept Phil Foden quiet for most of the game but failed to make an impact going forward.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 7.5/10
He linked up play well with others around him but there was no goal for him.
CM: Wataru Endo – 7/10
Endo anchored the midfield well and was a strong presence in the air.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6.5/10
He tested Ederson with a strike from long range and was replaced at the hour mark.
RW: Harvey Elliott – 6.5/10
He pressed the opposition well and made one decent chance in the final third.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
Nunez was always willing to have a strike at goal and managed to earn the penalty with a good run early in the second half.

He completed a few excellent runs on the left flank but wasted some glorious chances to score in the second 45 minutes.
