Chelsea are set to host Burnley at the Stamford Bridge in a Premier League fixture on Saturday. They head into the game with a lot of confidence as they beat Leicester City 4-2 in the FA Cup knockout stage before the international break.
The Blues would like to carry on the momentum as they will face arch-rivals Manchester United after this weekend’s clash. They will try to find a ray of hope in their ongoing dismal campaign so far. Chelsea are ranking 11th in the domestic points table.
4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Burnley
Defence
Dorde Petrovic to return between the sticks for Chelsea and replace Robert Sanchez, who had an awful display of performance in his previous outing.
Malo Gusto will be fresh to start as the right-back as he had pulled out of international duty due to illness. Axel Disasi would like to forget the embarrassing own-goal moment of the previous game. He should be partnering with Thiago Silva for the centre-back positions.
The latter will replace Trevoh Chalobah in the playing XI. Left-back Ben Chilwell is likely to start if he regains full fitness after getting a knock on his knee during international duty.
Midfield
While Moises Caicedo is expected to retain his position in the midfield, Enzo Fernandez will retain operations. These two form the holding midfield duo in the side.
The trio of Mykhailo Mudryk, Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer will operate up front to create goal-scoring opportunities for the Blues.
Attack
In-form Nicolas Jackson to lead the attacking line and will be expected to find the back of the net again. Raheem Sterling goes to the bench as he failed to impress on his previous outing.
Romeo Lavia (thigh), Wesley Fofana (knee), Christopher Nkunku (hamstring), Reece James (hamstring), Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), Levi Colwill (toe), Carney Chukwuemeka (unspecified), Robert Sanchez (unspecified) and Trevoh Chalobah (unspecified) are the absentees for the clash.
