Romeo Lavia is a Belgian footballer who serves as a holding midfielder for Chelsea and the Belgium national side. The 19-year-old sealed a move to the West London club from Southampton earlier this year.
However, Lavia had a tough spell at Southampton after he failed to help the Saints avoid being relegated from the Premier League in the 2022-23 season.
The Belgian international managed to earn a Premier League winner’s medal when he was serving as a youth player at Manchester City.

Lavia was born in Brussels, Belgium and joined Anderlecht’s youth set-up at a very young age. He managed to fight his way up their youth ranks before earning a big move to Manchester City where he continued his football education.
In 2022, Southampton decided to sign Lavia. He had an impressive debut season while playing as a first-team starter for the Saints.
Chelsea opted to bring Lavia on board last summer. He will now look to prove his worth at Stamford Bridge over the next decade. The Chelsea summer signing has a net worth of around £2.2m (via The Sports Grail) in 2023.
