Arsenal welcomed Brentford at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 19th minute thanks to Declan Rice’s effort. However, Yoane Wissa equalised for the Bees after an error from Aaron Ramsdale. The two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Kai Havertz ended up scoring the winning goal in the 86th minute as Mikel Arteta‘s men secured a narrow 2-1 win at the Emirates.

Ramsdale made a poor error in the lead-up to Brentford’s equaliser. However, he pulled off a few important saves to save Arsenal’s day.

Saliba kept things solid on the defensive end of the field for most of the game.

LB: Jakub Kiwior – 6/10
He caught the eye at times but struggled to get a foothold in the game.
CM: Martin Odegaard – 6.5/10
Odegaard managed to create a few inviting chances for his teammates but has got nothing to show for his efforts.
CM: Jorginho – 6.5/10
He made one decent chance in the opponent’s half and was replaced in the 69th minute.
CM: Declan Rice – 8/10
Rice anchored the midfield well and managed to score the opening goal in the 19th minute.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10
He caused some headaches for the opposition defenders but didn’t do enough to find the back of the net.
ST: Kai Havertz – 7/10
Havertz was not shy of having a strike at goal and deserves credit for scoring the winning goal late in the game.
LW: Leandro Trossard – 7/10
He was a constant menace on the left wing but failed to take any of his chances.
