In a recent report, Defensa Central’s Real Madrid Exclusivo revealed that Real Madrid have identified Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala as a target for the upcoming transfer window. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to bring the German youngster to the Spanish capital in the summer.
Musiala’s Impressive Run Of Form At The Allianz Arena This Season
Musiala is having another impressive campaign at the German club after he put in a series of decent performances for them on the offensive end of the field. The 21-year-old has netted 12 goals and picked up seven assists in 31 matches for Bayern this season in multiple competitions.
The Stuttgart-born talent has been a consistent performer in the opponent’s half as he is averaging 2.6 shots, 1.8 key passes and 3.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has even been accurate when distributing possession based on his pass completion rate of 81.9% in the top tier of German football (stats via whoscored).
Musiala is under contract at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2026. Thus, Los Blancos would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting the Germany international later this year.
Should Real Madrid Snap Musiala Up This Summer?
Musiala has got the vision to set up a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third. He can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and can complete some dangerous dribbles in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
The German sensation can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder or as a left-winger if needed.
Musiala has what it takes to enhance the quality of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti’s frontline. He is good enough to compete with Jude Bellingham for a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 21, Musiala is a generational talent, so the Madrid giants would do well to get him on board this summer. He might even help Real Madrid challenge for a lot of major honours over the next decade. Therefore, Ancelotti would be wise to go all out to snap him up soon.
