Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa in the English Premier League this weekend. After a defeat against Wolves, they bounced back against Crystal Palace by winning 3-1. They would like to continue the momentum and cannot afford any mistakes here.
Spurs are fifth in the table, just five points off the Champions League spot. Interesting, Aston Villa are in the fourth position. Therefore, a win against them on Sunday will be considered a great step towards securing a place in the top four.
4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Aston Villa
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will line up as ever in the goalpost for Tottenham Hotspur. He had a decent game in his previous outing but would like to help the side by keeping a clean sheet. Pedro Porro is expected to recover from his strain and take Emerson Royal’s position as the right-back.
The centre-back duo of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will remain intact. They have been pretty impressive in recent weeks. No surprises in the left-back position as Destiny Udogie will retain that spot.
Midfield
Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur will continue to operate as the holding midfielders. However, the latter needs to step up his game and start influencing the game even more. Pape Sarr will continue to start on the bench.
The trio of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Timo Werner will also remain unchanged. They will have a direct impact on the result of the game.
Attack
Son Heung-min will lead the attacking line for Spurs once again. He performed brilliantly last week and would like to drop a similar performance. Richarlison remain doubtful for the clash as he is yet to clear the fitness test.
Fraser Forster (foot), Manor Solomon (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) will remain sidelined due to injuries.
