In a recent interview with talkSPORT, former Premier League player Kevin Nolan urged Manchester United to land Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane, who is currently playing on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. Nolan said,
“I can certainly see him back in the Premier League. I don’t think Tottenham would have ever sold him to Manchester United. But for him to go to Bayern Munich, then it’s easier for him to come back from Germany, and I think Man United will be his destination.
“I think they [Bayern] would want their money back. Of course [he is worth it]. 20-plus goals every season, and he was playing for Tottenham during them times as well. Realistically, are Man United as good as Tottenham?
“But I just think he brings a different aura to them anyway, a different aura to the team as soon as he puts the shirt on for whoever. I probably think Man United would be the one.”
Kane’s Impressive Loan Spell In German Football This Season
Kane has enjoyed a rich vein of form in Bundesliga this season as he has managed to put in a string of productive performances for Bayern in the final third. The 30-year-old is having a great loan spell at the Bavarian club after scoring 36 goals and securing 11 assists in 34 appearances for them in all competitions.
The English talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 4.6 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. However, he has lacked quality when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half based on his pass completion rate of 72.1% in league football (stats via whoscored).
Will Kane Be A Dream Option For Manchester United?
Kane can engineer some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can make a few driving runs with the ball in the opposition half.
The England international is also a good header of the ball but needs to be more accurate with his link-up play up top. We can expect him to add plenty of goals to Man United boss Erik ten Hag’s attack.
Kane would no doubt be an upgrade over Rasmus Hojlund who is yet to prove himself as a consistent performer at Old Trafford. With all things considered, the English striker would be a dream option for the Red Devils this summer, so ten Hag should focus on going all out to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur soon.
