Liverpool locked horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the FA Cup. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the tenth minute when Scott McTominay found the back of the net. Alexis Mac Allister equalised for the Merseyside club in the 44th minute before Mohamed Salah completed the turnaround in injury time. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Antony came on and equalised for Man United in the 87th minute which took the game to extra-time. Harvey Elliott put Liverpool ahead in the 105th minute when he scored with a deflected effort.
However, the home team came roaring back in the second half of extra-time and equalised in the 112th minute thanks to Marcus Rashford’s finish. Amad Diallo scored the winning goal in the dying embers of the game as Liverpool suffered a tough 4-3 loss after extra-time which knocked them out of the FA Cup.

Kelleher made a lot of important saves during the game and ended up conceding four goals this evening.

He got stuck in with some crunching tackles and made one driving run with the ball on the right flank.
CB: Jarell Quansah – 6.5/10
Quansah cleared the danger when needed and made some crucial interceptions inside his half.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10
He put his foot through the ball when he could but looked tired in extra time.
LB: Andrew Robertson – 7/10
He worked hard in both halves as usual and was substituted in the 75th minute.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 8/10
Mac Allister was a real menace in the opponent’s half and scored Liverpool’s first goal in the 44th minute.
CM: Wataru Endo – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield relatively well and was accurate with his passing.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
Szoboszlai was a constant menace in the final third but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7.5/10
Salah caused a lot of problems for his marker and managed to score in the dying embers of the first half.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
He caused a lot of problems for the Man United centre-backs and has got an assist to show for his efforts. However, he gave away the ball carelessly in the lead-up to Rashford’s goal.
LW: Luis Diaz – 8/10
Diaz made a few dangerous runs with the ball on the left wing but lacked quality in front of the opponent’s goal.
