Club Football is returning this weekend after the international break as West Ham United face Newcastle United in an away Premier League fixture. The former side settled for a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in their previous outing.
The Hammers will aim to win all three points as they still have an outside chance of qualifying for a European tournament. They are seventh in the domestic points table with 44 points after 29 rounds of play. They are still nine points off the fifth position.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup Vs Newcastle United
Defence
Alphonse Areola had a decent outing in the last game and will be the man with the gloves for West Ham United yet again. Vladimir Coufal will be retained as the right-back and could be impactful on the offensive front.
The centre-back duo of Konstantinos Mavropanos and Kurt Zouma remains unchanged for this fixture. Left-back Emerson retained from injury and started the previous game. He looked completely comfortable and will be starting against the Magpies too.
Midfield
Edson Alvarez is unavailable for the contest as he picked up his 10th card in the league and will remain suspended. Kalvin Phillips is the front-runner to replace him in the lineup and form the holding midfield duo with Tomas Soucek.
One change in the attacking line as Mohammed Kudus has suffered a knee injury and might miss the tie. James Ward-Prowse will be walking to the side to form the attacking trio with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta.
Attack
Michail Antonio to lead the attacking line for the Hammers. He returned to scoring form in the previous game and would like to build on his confidence.
Maxwel Cornet (thigh) can be marking his return but not to start on the bench. Boss David Moyes may use him towards the business end of the game.
