Chelsea welcomed Leicester City at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result in the FA Cup. The Blues made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 13th minute when Marc Cucurella found the back of the net. Cole Palmer doubled his team’s lead in the first half injury-time as Mauricio Pochettino’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
The Foxes found a way back into the game in the 51st minute thanks to Axel Disasi’s unfortunate own goal. Stephy Mavididi equalised for the visitors just after the hour mark. Callum Doyle was sent off by the referee in the 73rd minute which put Chelsea at a numerical advantage. Carney Chukwuemeka fired his team ahead in the 92nd minute before Noni Madueke killed the game off in the dying embers of the contest. The match finished with Pochettino’s men earning an impressive 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge.
