Everton will clash heads with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this Tuesday night as they try to grind out a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees suffered a tough 2-1 loss away at Bournemouth recently which has drained their confidence ahead of this game.
Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and could name a strong first team for this game. Beto will get a chance to lead the charge for the Merseyside club on the offensive end of the field while Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Newcastle United
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees after shipping in a couple of goals in his last appearance. James Tarkowski will function alongside Jarrad Branthwaite at the centre of Dyche’s defence as they try to keep the Newcastle attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Seamus Coleman will hope to impress as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykonlenko fills in on the other side as the left-back if he can pass a late fitness test. Dyche will instruct both of them to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Michael Keane will make up the numbers on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana will operate alongside James Garner at the heart of Everton’s midfield as they focus on making life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park. Both of them need to pass the ball well if Everton are to threaten the opposition goal on the counter.
Dwight McNeil will hope to be a constant menace on the left wing while Jack Harrison looks to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player. Abdoulaye Doucoure will operate in the number ten position as he looks to create some chaos in and around the Newcastle penalty box.
Andre Gomes will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if Dyche opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Beto will lead the line for the Toffees in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after doing so against the Hammers recently.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if Everton are in need of a goal by then.
