Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League points table following their victory over Brentford. However, another challenge is knocking on their door as they prepare to host Porto in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg.
The Portuguese side got the better of the English team in the first leg. Trailing 1-0, the Gunners will have to be at their best to overcome the obstacle. With good confidence and the support of the fans, they can turn the situation and book a berth for the next round.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs Porto
Defence
Spanish goal-stopper David Raya is set to return to the goal for Arsenal after Aaron Ramsdale’s mixed performance in the previous game. Right-back Ben White was at his absolute best on Saturday and will take charge of the position yet again.
No changes are expected in the centre-back duo of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. They were spot-on in their defensive duties. Oleksandr Zinchenko returned from injury and looked in fine shape. He will be ready to replace Jakub Kiwior as the left-back.
Midfield
It would make no sense to disrupt the working midfield trio of Jorginho, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. All three have been living up to the expectations. Thomas Partey looked sharp after coming off the bench against Brentford. He will once again be used as a super substitute by boss Mikel Arteta.
Attack
The Gunners are sweating on the fitness of Gabriel Martinelli. His absence will be a big miss and mostly be filled by Gabriel Jesus. Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz are going to operate on the wings. Leandro Trossard is likely to warm the bench for this clash.
Jurrien Timber (ACL) will miss the contest and Takehiro Tomiyasu is to be assessed before making a final decision on his selection.
