Arsenal will entertain Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday night as they try to collect all three points at home in the Premier League. The Gunners suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Porto in midweek, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved showing against the Magpies this weekend.
Mikel Arteta will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, we can once again expect to see Leandro Trossard lead the line for the Magpies up top.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Newcastle United
Defence
David Raya will play in between the sticks for the Gunners after shipping in one goal in his last appearance. Gabriel will operate alongside William Saliba at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they try to keep the Newcastle attackers quiet throughout the 90 minutes.
Ben White will play as the right-back while Jakub Kiwior fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Cedric Soares will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Arteta’s midfield would be comprised of Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaarrd once again as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. Both Havertz and Odegaard would have to carry most of the creative burden for the Gunners in the final third.
Jorginho will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Arteta opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Bukayo Saka looks to weave his magic on the right wing. Leandro Trossard will get the opportunity to spearhead Arteta’s attack down the middle.
All three of them need to put in a much-improved display offensively after shooting blanks against Porto in midweek.
Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson will be named on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
