After thrashing Brentford by 4-1 last week, Liverpool are getting ready to host Luton Town at Anfield in a Premier League fixture on Wednesday. They will aim at securing all three points to keep a healthy lead at the top of the points table.
With 57 points in 25 games, the Reds are the table-toppers in the domestic league. As they aren’t participating in the UEFA Champions League, Jurgen Klopp’s side can focus fully on the Premier League cup. It will be a big moment if they manage to keep the lead and eventually go on to win the title.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Luton Town
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher will continue to be the man with gloves for Liverpool as first-choice keeper Alisson Becker is unlikely to get fit for the contest. Joe Gomez is expected to replace Conor Bradley at the right-back position.
While Virgil van Dijk is likely to be kept in the starting lineup, Jarell Quansah can make the start ahead of Ibrahima Konate, who had a dismal campaign against Brentford. Andrew Robertson will continue to operate at the left-back position as usual.
Midfield
Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister once again take charge of the midfield after their individual brilliance in the previous game. While Endo showed his high work rate, Allister was creative enough to find the back of the net. Curtis Jones will unfortunately miss the clash due to injury and Ryan Gravenberch is the front-runner to replace him.
Attack
Liverpool got a big boost as Mohamed Salah returned from injury and even got a goal and assist in the last game. He will start for the Reds alongside Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo.
Stefan Bajcetic (calf), Joel Matip (knee), Ben Doak (knee), Thiago Alcantara (muscle), Dominik Szoboszlai (thigh) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee) will not be available for the selection. Darwin Nunez (unspecified) and Diogo Jota (knee) are subject to fitness.
