Chelsea faced off against Liverpool at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Blues made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Diogo Jota got his name on the scoresheet. Conor Bradley scored the home team’s second goal in the 39th minute as Mauricio Pochettino’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
The West London club conceded their third goal in the 65th minute when Dominik Szoboszlai scored with a solid header. Christopher Nkunku got a goal back for Chelsea in the 71st minute. However, the Blues conceded again in the 79th minute when Luis Diaz found the back of the net. The match ended with Chelsea suffering a lackluster 4-1 loss at Merseyside.
