Manchester City clashed with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a dominant start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 21st minute when Neal Maupay scored with a good finish. However, Phil Foden equalised for Man City in the dying embers of the first half as the two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Foden gave Man City the lead in the 53rd minute before going on to complete his hat trick in the 70th minute. The contest finished with the Mancunian giants securing an impressive 3-1 win away from home.

Ederson made a couple of solid saves at the back but couldn’t do much about Maupay’s clinical finish in the first half.

He kept things solid at the back and had a few bright moments in the opponent’s half.

Dias kept the Brentford attackers frustrated for most of the game and was accurate with his passing as well
CB: Nathan Ake – 6.5/10
Ake cleared the danger when he could but should have done better in the lead-up to Maupay’s goal.

He was a positive influence at both ends ot the pitch but failed to make a difference in the final third.
CM: Rodri – 8/10
The Spaniard anchored the midfield well and was good on the ball.
RW: Bernardo Silva – 7/10
He worked hard in both halves but there was no goal for him.
CM: Kevin de Bruyne – 8/10
De Bruyne managed to create some inviting chances in the opponent’s half and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Julian Alvarez – 7.5/10
He got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
LW: Phil Foden – 10/10
Foden scored all three of Man City’s goals tonight and deserves to be named the man of the match.
ST: Erling Haaland – 7.5/10
Haaland caught the eye at times and managed to end the game with an assist to his name.
