West Ham United will host Brentford at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Monday. It will be a good opportunity for them to get back into winning ways. They haven’t won a single game in their last five outings in the league.
The Hammers are ninth in the points table with 36 points after 25 rounds of play. If they don’t turn things around, they might drop into the championship. Boss David Moyes’ job has also come under scrutiny as the fans demand him to be sacked.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup Vs Brentford
Defence
In the waves of negatives, goal-stopper Alphonse Areola was one of the positives for the Hammers in their last game. He will once again line up in the goal for this side.
English defender Ben Johnson is likely to replace Vladimir Coufal as the right-back. Nayef Aguerd Kurt Zouma will continue to perform as the centre-backs for the Hammers. Notably, both the defenders need to step up and provide better performances.
Left-back Emerson Palmieri was impressive in his last outing and will retain his spot in the XI.
Midfield
The hosts will not have the services of Kalvin Phillips as he will remain suspended after picking up a red card in the last game. Tomas Soucek will replace him and pair up with Edson Alvarez to form the holding midfielders.
The trio of Mohammed Kudus, James Ward-Prowse and Jarrod Bowen also remain unchanged. Needless to say, they should be more creative in the offensive duties and try banging goals.
Attack
West Ham United got a big boost as Lucas Paqueta returned from injury and hit the training session. He is likely to replace Michail Antonio, who hasn’t been impressive much so far.
Full-backs Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey will not be available for selection, even Ethan Pinnock is unlikely to feature until the end of March.
