Newcastle United entertained Luton Town at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a win at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a decent start to the game and scored the opening goal in the seventh-minute thanks to Sean Longstaff’s effort. However, Gabriel Osho equalised for the visitors in the 21st minute. Longstaff put Newcastle ahead once again just two minutes later before Ross Barkley equalised for Luton in the 40th minute. The two teams went into the half-time break with a 2-2 scoreline.
Carlton Morris gave his team a surprise lead in the 59th minute from the penalty spot before Elijah Adabayo put Luton 4-2 up just after the hour mark. Kieran Trippier got a goal back for Newcastle in the 67th minute. Harvey Barnes managed to score the all-important equaliser just six minutes later as the contest finished with Eddie Howe’s men being held to an entertaining 4-4 draw in front of their home fans.
