Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, is backing coach Mauricio Pochettino and his young squad. He advises fans to wait while the team grows. However, some fans want Pochettino sacked and numerous players sold.
Didier Drogba supports Mauricio Pochettino
Didier Drogba is asking fans to give manager Mauricio Pochettino time. Pochettino is feeling more pressure as Chelsea struggles this season.
Chelsea have spent a lot of money on players in the last three transfer periods, but the team’s performance hasn’t matched the investment. Fans who are used to Chelsea winning and competing for trophies are demanding that Mauricio Pochettino be fired. This comes after the team lost two games in a row against Liverpool and Wolves, letting in eight goals in total.
“It is not an easy moment for the club, those kids, I mean those young players, they came to Chelsea because we created a legacy and they want to be part of this legacy, they want to leave this legacy, unfortunately, there’s no time in football but they will need time to adjust,” Drogba said.
“You have to remember that when I joined Chelsea, the group of players were 24, 25, 26 some of them 27. So we were already ready for the game and they’re still learning. They’re still young. So, give them time and when they reach their peak, everybody will be like, Wow, this is the new generation. You know, the best team is just here. It’s just a matter of time,” he added.

Chelsea are in 11th place in the Premier League after playing 23 games. The fans hope the team’s season gets better soon before it’s too late.
Pochettino needs to make things better by summer, and tonight’s FA Cup game against Aston Villa at Villa Park feels really important for Chelsea. They’re not thinking about changing managers during the season, but the owners want to see the team do better. Fans weren’t happy after Saturday’s 4-2 loss to Wolves, and they’re upset with Pochettino.
