Arsenal easily beat Burnley in their Premier League game. They performed really well, as seen by their 6-0 victory over West Ham in their last match. This time, they scored five goals and held Burnley scoreless. Bukayo Saka scored twice, followed by Leandro Trossard, Kai Havertz, and Martin Odegaard. Arsenal has won every game since the winter break, and they are still leading the title fight. Micah Richards complimented Leandro Trossard following the match.
Micah Richards praises Leandro Trossard
Micah Richards has praised Arsenal player Leandro Trossard because he’s been playing really well lately. Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton and Hove Albion last year but didn’t always get to play because there were other popular attackers like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli. Even though he didn’t play much, whenever he did, he showed how good he is. Lately, because Gabriel Jesus got hurt, Trossard has been playing a lot more for Arsenal, and he’s scored many goals recently.
Richards was talking on a podcast called ‘The Rest is Football‘ after the weekend’s games, and he was really impressed with how well Trossard fits in at Arsenal.
“You know who has been key for them with important goals? Trossard. He probably doesn’t get in everyone’s starting 11 when everyone is fit, and Jesus is playing well and Martinelli and Saka are playing as they are now, but he just brings something different to that team with his runs in behind. Coming to the ball to link up. And then in front of goal he is clinical,” Richards said.
“I knew he was a good player at Brighton but he has really come to Arsenal and fitted in straight away. To have that from the bench has been outstanding for him and when he starts he’s been brilliant,” he added.

Leandro scored four goals in the last five games for Arsenal, which is really good. When Gabriel Jesus gets better from his injury, he might not play as much because Trossard has been playing so well.
