Barcelona are going to travel to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to face Napoli in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. They topped their group by winning four games but also lost two. It will be a crucial game for both teams to advance to the next stage.
The Catalans beat Celta Vigo 2-1 in the domestic league last week, thanks to a brace from Robert Lewandowski. The side would like to carry on the confidence and try to get a good result against Napoli. With the league cup looking out of hand, the Spanish club would want to do wonders in the other competitions to improve their season.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Napoli
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is the undisputed goalkeeper for the Catalans. He was pretty good and had no chance of stopping a deflected goal against Celta Vigo. Jules Kounde is likely to start as the right-back despite a below-par performance in the previous outing.
Ronald Araujo is cleared to participate in the contest and will probably pair up with Inigo Martinez, who will replace Pau Cubarsin in the lineup. Joao Cancelo is also likely to retain his position as the left-back. His final passes were poor in the match last week and he needs to step up immediately.
Midfield
No fitness concern with Pedri means he will start the game and join the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Ilkay Gundogan in the midfield. Frankie has been in decent form and Gudogan will definitely be called up to take Andreas Christensen’s position.
Attack
Barcelona will have a little inexperienced attacking line with the presence of Lamine Yamal and Vitor Roque on the flanks. While Roque is expected to make his Champions League debut this week, Yamal will also retain his position in the side.
However, they will have the availability of veteran Robert Lewandowski in the attacking unit. He scored a brace against Celta Vigo and would like to contribute with more goals in the upcoming fixture.
Alejandro Balde (hamstring), Marcos Alonso (back), Sergi Roberto (Achilles), and Gavi (ACL) will not be available for the selection.
