Newcastle United faced off against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground earlier this evening as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the tenth minute thanks to Bruno Guimaraes’ effort. However, Anthony Elanga equalised for Nottingham in the 26th minute. Fabian Schar gave his team the lead again in the 43rd minute which was cancelled out by Callum Hudson Odoi’s goal in the first half injury-time. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 2-2 scoreline.
Guimaraes scored again for Newcastle in the 66th minute which proved to be the difference on the night. The match ended with Eddie Howe’s men earning a hard-fought 3-2 win away from home.

He made a ton of important clearances at the back but failed to make an impact going forward.

He managed to score two crucial goals for his team which was enough for the Magpies to earn the win.

Miley did his fair share of defending but struggled to influence the game going forward.
RW: Miguel Almiron – 6/10
He struggled to influence the game in the final third and was replaced in the 59th minute.
ST: Callum Wilson – 6/10
He made one decent run with the ball but never got a sniff at goal.
LW: Anthony Gordon – 6.5/10
Gordon caused some problems for his marker but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.
