Even though Gabriel Jesus is completely focused on Arsenal, he admits he wants to win trophies somewhere. Arsenal hasn’t won the Premier League in a long time, but head coach Mikel Arteta hopes to change that coming season. Because Arsenal has been doing really well in the Premier League this year, fans are feeling hopeful that this might finally be their season to win.
Gabriel Jesus wants to won trophies
Gabriel Jesus is happy with his team, but he knows he won’t achieve all his dreams while playing there. He came to Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, where he won the Premier League four times. Although he’s had some injuries and sometimes struggled to score, overall, he’s been great for Arsenal. Jesus has scored a lot in the Champions League and even more than some famous players in the Premier League. But he believes he can do even better in his career. He dreams of winning three big competitions where he hasn’t succeeded yet: the World Cup, the Champions League, and the Copa Libertadores.
Talking to a Brazilian YouTuber named Cartolouco, Jesus said he’s amazed at how huge Arsenal is as a club. But he also wants to win the Copa Libertadores with his childhood team Palmeiras someday.
“(Arsenal) It’s a giant that was sleeping that woke up. I wasn’t so aware before I arrived here of how huge this club is. I’m in love with Arsenal,” Jesus said.
“I’m more mature now. I’m established and 100% focusing on my football. I still have three dreams: to win the World Cup, the Champions League and then the Libertadores with Palmeiras,” he added.

The Gunners’ striker hasn’t played in a game since January 30 because of a problem with his knee, although he was on the bench but didn’t play in Saturday’s win against Newcastle. Jesus really wants to get back to playing, but reports say Arsenal’s medical team is being careful with how much he plays to stop his knee problem from getting worse.
