Conor Gallagher performed admirably after Chelsea’s Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool. Chelsea defeated Leeds United 3-2 and advanced to the FA Cup’s next round. Gallagher scored the winning goal in extra time against Leeds in the FA Cup. Following this victory, Chelsea will face Leicester City in the following round of the FA Cup.
Jamie O’Hara on Conor Gallagher
Jamie O’Hara said he really likes Conor Gallagher as a player after his goal helped Chelsea win against Leeds United in the FA Cup yesterday. Gallagher came into the game as a substitute and scored the winning goal in the 90th minute. This victory means Chelsea will play against Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals next month. Mauricio Pochettino’s team managed to win 3-2 against Leeds, even though they scored late in the game. This win is good news for Chelsea, especially after losing to Liverpool in the League Cup final a few days ago.
Gallagher, who was criticized last weekend for missing important chances in the cup final, showed his strong character by scoring a great winning goal at the end of the game against Leeds. Jamie O’Hara spoke highly of the 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder after his performance last night.
“I have to say Conor Gallagher off the back of the Carabao Cup and having some really good chances to win the game, what I love about him, and even tonight couple of times he’s had chances or give the ball away, he never hides,” O’Hara said to talkSPORT.
“He never shrugs away from a challenge. He keeps going. He’s got character. I love that in a player. ou know what he ain’t Frank Lampard or a Jude Bellingham, but I tell you what he’s going to make a hell of a living out of the game with his heart. If they sell Conor Gallagher in the summer, I’d stop supporting Chelsea if I was a Chelsea fan,” he added.

After the win, Gallagher said Chelsea wanted to do better after losing in the Carabao Cup final. He said the team worked hard to get the win against Leeds.
“It [the final loss] was a big disappointment and we wanted to bounce back and give the fans something to celebrate, and we managed to do that. It has been a really tough few days and everyone has been down but we had to make sure we were right because it was such an important game and the boys dug deep to get the win,” Gallagher said.
