Liverpool entertained Luton Town at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a shaky start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute when Chiedozie Ogbene scored from close range. Jurgen Klopp‘s men dominated the game but went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
The Merseyside club took control of the game in the second 45 minutes and found the leveler in the 56th minute thanks to Virgil Van Dijk’s solid header. Just two minutes later, Cody Gakpo completed the turnaround with a good finish from point-blank range. Luis Diaz put the match to bed in the 71st minute before Harvey Elliott put the icing on the cake when he scored with a powerful strike in the 90th minute. The contest ended with the Reds securing a dominant 4-1 win in front of the Kop.
