Liverpool faced off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 35th minute thanks to Darwin Nunez’s excellent finish. The Merseyside club went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Jurgen Klopp‘s men continued to pile on the pressure in the second 45 minutes and doubled their lead in the 55th minute via Alexis Mac Allister’s great finish. Mohamed Salah put the contest to bed just 13 minutes later before Ivan Toney got a goal back for the home team. Cody Gakpo put the icing on the cake as he scored in the 86th minute. The match finished with Liverpool earning a dominant 4-1 win away from home.

Van Dijk put his foot through the ball when he could and was good on the ball.

The Scotland international performed his defensive duties well and had a few bright moments in the opponent’s half.

He worked hard in both halves and managed to get his name on the scoresheet with a brilliant finish in the 55th minute.

Endo anchored the midfield well but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.
CM: Curtis Jones – 6/10
Jones picked up an injury and had to be replaced in the 33rd minute.
RW: Diogo Jota – 7/10
The Portuguese talent secured a good assist for setting up Nunez’s goal. However, he picked up a serious knee injury and was replaced just before the half-time break.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
Nunez was a real menace in the final third and found the back of the net with an excellent chip.
LW: Luis Diaz – 8/10
He caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
