West Ham United will clash heads with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers suffered a heavy 6-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal recently, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved display in the league this weekend.
David Moyes will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong starting XI for this game. Jarrod Bowen will once again lead the charge for the East London club up top after shooting blanks versus the Gunners recently.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Alphonso Areola will feature in between the sticks for the Hammers despite conceding six times in his last league outing. Kurt Zouma will function alongside Nayef Aguerd at the centre of the West Ham defence as they look to keep things tidy on the defensive end of the field.
Vladimir Coufal will be named as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Aaron Cresswell will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Edson Alvarez will anchor the midfield along with Tomas Soucek as they look to make life difficult for the home team at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Ben Johnson, James Ward-Prowse and Mohammed Kudus will play just ahead of them as part of West Ham’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to create some clear-cut chances for the Hammers to win this contest at the City Ground.
Kalvin Phillips will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if Moyes decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Jarrod Bowen will spearhead Moyes’ attack up top. He would be eager to put his pace to good use and cause a lot of chaos inside the Nottingham penalty box.
Danny Ings will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter if needed.
