Barcelona will clash heads with Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia as they try to secure a positive result in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. The Catalan club managed to secure a solid 2-0 win over Osasuna recently, so they would be full of confidence ahead of this game.
Xavi will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this game. Lamine Yamal, Joao Felix and Pedri will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Madrid
Defence
Inaki Pena will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after securing a clean sheet in his last appearance. Andreas Christensen will function alongside Ronald Araujo at the heart of the Barca backline as they look to keep the Real Madrid attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Jules Kounde will fill in as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well if Barca are to keep a good defensive shape at the back during the game.
Hector Fort will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Ilkay Gundogan, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri will make up Barca’s midfield as they look to win the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at their best if the Catalan club are to come out on top this weekend.
Oriol Romeu will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Xavi opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Joao Felix will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Lacine Yamal looks to impress as the right-winger. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for Barcelona on the offensive end of the field. The Polish striker managed to score against Osasuna which should keep him in high spirits ahead of this game.
Raphinha and Ferran Torres will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to make an impact in the final quarter of the match if required.
