Mauricio Pochettino was furious after his team fell 1-0 to Middlesbrough in the League Cup. He lamented that Chelsea didn’t score enough goals, which has been an issue in the past. They struggled away from home, with Hayden Hackney scoring the game’s only goal. Chelsea has lost a lot of away games recently, and they have the most away losses among Premier League teams.
Jamie O’Hara claims John Terry should be involved with Chelsea
The Blues are having a tough time. They did okay in some recent games, but now it feels like they took a step forward and three steps back. They lost to a midtable Championship team, Middlesbrough, in the League Cup semi-final first leg last night, which is disappointing.
Now, they need to play really well if they want a chance to reach the final, which is a big goal for them this season. It’s also a way to get into European football next season. Mauricio Pochettino and his players haven’t had a great season so far. A pundit thinks the solution is to bring in Chelsea legend John Terry, maybe as a coach for the main team.
Jamie O’Hara’s claims having John Terry would definitely make a positive change.
“Why is John Terry not there? Why is he not in the dugout every single game? He’s the best captain Chelsea have ever had. He watches every game. How is he not there at half-time, saying [to the players], ‘are you winding me up?’” he said.

Even though the club spent a lot of money on players in the past three transfer periods, Pochettino said last month that he still needs to find ways to improve because the team is not scoring enough. Noni Madueke seemed like the best chance to boost Chelsea‘s attack, but Pochettino decided to bring in Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja instead. Raheem Sterling missed an opportunity to score from a good pass by Broja, and despite Chelsea having a lot of the ball in the last 20 minutes, they couldn’t turn it into more chances.
