In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that West Ham United are keen on signing Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman. Romano said,
“I think West Ham will do something in the final days, especially in the attacking positions. If they find an opportunity, they will be there. As you mentioned, Osman is one of the names they have discussed, but as of now, the feeling is not super positive because they believe that Nordsjaelland are asking for too big a package. Including add-ons, something around £20m. They believe this is too much at this point. So the conversation is still ongoing, but the deal is not as close as it was two or three days ago.”
Osman’s Impressive Rise In Danish Football
Osman has enjoyed a decent season at the Danish club as he has put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the attacking third of the pitch. The 19-year-old has registered four goals and five assists in 29 appearances for Nordsjaelland during this campaign across multiple competitions.
The gifted youngster has caught the eye at times with his contributions on the left side of Johannes Hoff Thorup’s attack. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level.
West Ham United Are Keen On Signing Osman: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Osman is a decent dribbler with the ball and can shoot the ball purely from long range. He can also create a few inviting chances for others around him on the offensive end of the field. The Ghana talent is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also play as a right-winger or as a centre-forward up top if asked to do so by his manager.
Osman has got the potential to become a future star at the highest level. Thus, West Ham boss David Moyes will do well to snap him up before the end of this transfer window. He is already good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at the London Stadium.
At 19, Osman is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, the Hammers should focus on getting a deal done for him soon.
