In a recent segment on Youtube, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are working hard to sign Club Brugge teenager Antonio Nusa. Romano said,
“Conversations are ongoing between Tottenham and Club Brugge. From what I am hearing, there will be a new contact in the next few days.
“Tottenham want to sign the player now and allow him to join in the summer. Nusa does not want to leave the Brugge now.
“There are also other clubs in the race. It is not a done deal which is why Tottenham want to be fast.”
Nusa’s Recent Emergence In Belgian Football
The gifted talent is enjoying an impressive campaign at the Belgian club as he has produced a series of productive displays for them on the offensive end of the pitch. Nusa deserves some credit for scoring three goals and grabbing three assists in 26 matches for Club Brugge this season across all fronts.
The 18-year-old has been a decent contributor from the wide areas and has done well to average 1.9 shots, 1.2 key passes and 2.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Jupiler Pro League. He has even been careful when distributing possession from the flanks after making 80.8% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
Nusa’s current deal at Brugge will expire in the summer of 2027. Thus, Tottenham would have to make a convincing offer if they want to bring him on board before the end of this January transfer period.

Nusa can create some space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He has got the vision to play a few decisive passes on the offensive end of the field and is an energetic runner with the ball. The Norwegian sensation mainly functions as a left-sided wide player but can also operate on the right wing or play as a forward down the middle if required. He is enjoying his football in Belgium but could struggle to adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
Still, at 18, Nusa is a star in the making and could be a success story at a club like Tottenham in the long run. Hence, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino should focus on getting a deal done for him in this winter transfer period.
Nusa has the potential to be a future starter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as long as he continues to work hard on improving his game on the field.
