In a recent tweet, journalist Jacob Steinberg revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for Chelsea playmaker Conor Gallagher. It has been stated that Spurs are hoping to bring the English talent on board this week.
Tottenham are considering a move for Conor Gallagher this week. Chelsea midfielder is out of contract in 18 months and no sign of a new deal yet. Chelsea wanted at least £50m for him last summer, though, and that was too high for Spurs #cfc

Gallagher’s Recent Form In Premier League Football
Gallagher has experienced an inconsistent season at the West London club but has managed to prove his worth at times for them in the Premier League. The 23-year-old has picked up six assists but has failed to find the back of the net in 28 appearances for the Blues during this campaign across all fronts.
The English sensation has been a decent performer at both ends of the pitch as he is averaging 2.7 tackles, 1.4 interceptions, 0.6 clearances, 1.3 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball well in the opponent’s half after making 91.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at the London club will run out in the summer of 2025. Hence, Tottenham would be wise to try and arrange a cut-price move for him this month or at the end of this campaign.
Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu Snap Gallagher Up?
Gallagher is a decent tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range. The English playmaker can even make a few clever runs with the ball. Plus, he can even orchestrate some decent chances for others around him in the final third.
At the moment, Gallagher is struggling to score goals for Chelsea. However, there is no denying that he is a player who can influence the game in both halves. Hence, Spurs boss Angelos Postecoglu would be wise to snap him up in this winter transfer window.
At 23, Gallagher has got a promising future ahead and could be a success story at the North London club in the long run. Plus, he could help Tottenham challenge for some major honours over the next decade. Thus, Spurs should consider going all out to seal a cut-price move for him before the end of this transfer window.
