In a recent report, Sky Sports claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Club Brugge wide player Antonio Nusa. It has been stated that Spurs will continue to monitor the progress of the Norwegian wide player.
Nusa’s Impressive Form In Belgian Football
Nusa has managed to catch the eye with his performances for Club Brugge in the Jupiler Pro League this season. The 18-year-old deserves a ton of credit for scoring three goals and picking up three assists in 26 matches for the Belgian club during this campaign across all competitions.
The Norwegian talent has been a good performer in the final third based on his average of 1.9 shots, 1.2 key passes and 2.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Jupiler Pro League. He has even taken care of the ball when distributing possession in the opponent’s half after completing 80.8% of his attempted passes in the Belgian top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Belgian club will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, Spurs would find it difficult to arrange a cut-price move for him this winter.
Is Nusa A Good Choice For Tottenham Hotspur?
Nusa is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can create a few promising chances for his teammates up top. He can shoot the ball with precision from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.
Nusa is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also operate on the right wing or play as an attacking midfielder if told to do so by his manager. He will no doubt be a good signing for Tottenham if Angelos Postecoglu can devise a way to bring him on board this winter.
Nusa would add more quality and depth to the North London club‘s match-day squad. He might even help Spurs compete across all competitions in the coming seasons.
At 18, the future looks quite bright for Nusa as long as he continues to develop with each season. All in all, he would be a decent choice for Tottenham to pursue before the end of this month.
