In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer move for Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane. It has been mentioned that Spurs have identified the German talent as a target for the summer transfer window.
Sane’s Brilliant Season In German Football
Sane is enjoying another excellent campaign at the Bavarian club as he has produced a handful of match-winning displays for them in the final third. The German wing wizard has banged in nine goals and grabbed 11 assists in 26 appearances for Bayern this season in all competitions.
The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer out in the wide areas and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 3.2 shots, 3.2 key passes and 3.9 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. He has even been excellent with his ball distribution after making 84.8% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Allianz Arena will expire in the summer of 2025 which could open the door for Spurs to sign him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.
Is Sane A Dream Choice For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu?
Sane is an excellent dribbler with the ball and can make a few dangerous runs with the ball out on the flanks. He can create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third. The Germany international can even strike the ball with power and accuracy from all ranges. He is usually quite productive in front of the opponent’s goal.
Sane is primarily a right-winger but can also function as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so. The German sensation would add plenty of pace and goals to Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu’s attack. He has what it takes to help the North London club challenge for a few major trophies in the coming years.
All in all, Sane would be a dream choice for Spurs to consider in the summer transfer window. Thus, it makes sense for Postecoglu to go all out to bring him on board at the end of this season.
