Here are the latest Scottish Premiership transfer rumours of the day as on 27.1.2024.
Yuki Kobayashi to leave Celtic
Celtic defender Yuki Kobayashi is likely to leave Glasgow soon. Two teams in the United States, Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas, are interested in borrowing him. He hasn’t played for Celtic’s first team since Brendan Rodgers became the manager and has been told he can leave before January ends.
Jefte will join Rangers
Rangers are close to signing Jefte from APOEL. Rangers had already agreed to get the 21-year-old left-back from Brazil, who is currently on loan in Cyprus. Fabrizio Romano said the deal is set with the player; they’re just waiting for approval from his club.
Ridvan Yilmaz set to leave Rangers?
Rangers’ left-back Ridvan Yilmaz is going to join Galatasaray, as per multiple reports.
The most recent tweet from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu from Turkish outlet Sports Digitale talks about Galatasaray making a loan offer with an option to buy at 3 million euros + bonuses.
Mellon joins Dundee
Dundee have signed a new player, Michael Mellon, who is a young striker from Scotland’s Under-21 team. He is the son of the ex-Dundee United manager, Micky Mellon.
Michael is the third loan player from Burnley to join Dundee this month because the clubs have a new partnership. The 20-year-old scored 15 goals for Morecambe in the first part of the season while on loan with Derek Adams.
Hibs after Owen Bevan and Nathan Moriah-Welsh
Hibs might get two players from Bournemouth. They are after Welsh defender Owen Bevan, 20, and midfielder Nathan Moriah-Welsh, 21. Hibs need more players in defense and are also searching for someone to replace midfielder Jimmy Jeggo, who is going back to Australia. The Scottish Premiership side have officially signed Nathan Moriah-Welsh and hopefully Owen Bevan will follow.
Bevan has been playing on loan at Cheltenham Town, and Moriah-Welsh plays for Guyana internationally.
