Here are the latest Scottish Premiership transfer rumours of the day as on 15.1.2024.
Hibernian could sign Musa Toure
According to several reports, Hibernian seem to be the top choice to land 18 year old striker Musa from Adelaide United. They might loan him back to the Reds for the rest of the A-League season. Musa likes the idea of going to Scotland to join a team with other players from his country like James Jeggo, Martin Boyle, and Lewis Miller.
Talks are still happening though so not a completely done deal yet. Musa, who played seven times as a substitute this season, wants to challenge himself in another country.
Adam Montgomery close to Motherwell
Reports indicate that Motherwell are trying their hardest to sign Celtic’s Adam Montgomery. Other Scottish teams and English clubs are also interested, but Motherwell wants him as their left-sided defender.
Stuart Kettlewell, really needed a left-back after Brodie Spencer got recalled by Huddersfield. Kettlewell asked for Montgomery when Celtic brought Montgomery back from his loan at Fleetwood Town last week. Celtic allowed Montgomery to go on loan to play with former captain Scott Brown, but Fleetwood Town changed managers twice since then.
Rangers interested in David Jurasek
Rangers need to fill some positions in the upcoming transfer window and top of that list is a left back. Philippe Clement is willing to be patient to get the right players at Ibrox. Nils Koppen and the recruitment team are already looking for potential new players for this window and the summer. One player they’re considering is David Jurasek from Benfica as per Football Scotland.
The 23-year-old left-back has played only 11 times this season and might want a loan to play more. He has other options he prefers right now, but that could change.
Rocco Vata could leave Celtic
Como is now trying to sign Celtic’s Rocco Vata. The 18-year-old forward seems likely to leave Parkhead, with many clubs in Europe interested. Recently, Bologna made an offer and got permission to talk to the player. It was said that he might sign a contract in advance or move right away this month. Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Como is also competing with other Italian clubs to sign Vata.
Queen’s Park to sign Mackenzie Carse
Mackenzie Carse, a 19-year-old midfielder from Celtic, is going to join Queen’s Park on loan until the end of the season. Both clubs agreed to the move, and he will be in Callum Davidson’s squad at The City Stadium. Carse played 18 times for Celtic’s B team in the Lowland League, scoring seven goals. However, Celtic wants him to play at a higher level, and Davidson is definitely the manager to help him improve.
